Important things I need to know about my holiday at Sea Breeze Beach House?

TRANSFERS AND TAXI

Sea Breeze Beach House is approximately a 15-minute drive from the airport.  One roundtrip airport transfer per booking to and from the resort is offered complimentary for guests who book direct on our official website for stays of four nights or more (For Three or Four Bedroom Suites, two complimentary round trip transfers are included per booking.)   Please contact guestservices@sea-breeze.com.

Should members of your group arrive and depart Barbados at different times, please provide the name of the individual(s) who will be using the free transfer and their arrival and departure flight details. Our representative, identifiable by a sign displaying their name, will be ready to greet them outside of the arrivals hall at the airport.

Should airport transfers be required beyond the complimentary service, we are pleased to make the arrangements and advise the additional costs. Taxis are also readily available at Barbados Grantley Adams Airport. 

WEATHER AND TRAVEL DELAYS

WORRY-FREE HURRICANE GUARANTEE

Fortunately, Barbados has a very low risk of hurricanes as the island is located outside of the hurricane belt. Historically, most named Hurricanes were not formed hurricanes, but only tropical depressions passing 60 miles or so from Barbados causing minimal effects.

In the event of official airline delays or cancellations for whatever reason that might result in guest arrival a day or more later than planned, Sea Breeze Beach House will offer guests a voucher for the value of the nights' rate towards an extended or future stay.

In the event of an official severe weather system warning issued for the island of Barbados resulting in closed airports or cancelled flights, Sea Breeze Beach House will waive the cancellation penalty and provide a voucher for the value of the full deposit paid towards a future stay. All vouchers for future stays are valid for 1 year from the original booking date.

Guests are advised to have comprehensive travel insurance in place for such unexpected circumstances.

TOURISM FUND
Please note an optional donation to the Tourism Fund of Barbados will be applied to your account of US$1 per day which allows guests "give back" to the island in a direct and meaningful way. This donation is at the discretion of the guest and can be accepted or declined at check out. For more information on the tourism fund please visit BHTA Tourism Fund.

For guests who have booked directly with us, the following deposit policies are applicable:

REFUNDS
A three-night deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance of payment to be made upon check-in to Sea Breeze Beach House.

NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENTS
Full payment is required in order to secure your reservation, and this payment is non-refundable, non-modifiable and non-transferable.

For guests that have booked through a third-party travel agent or tour operator, please contact them directly to confirm their deposit policies.

ROOM & BED REQUESTS
Please note room requests and bedding requests are not guaranteed, however, we will do our best to try and accommodate their request. Please send your requests to stay@sea-breeze.com

PACK FOR A PURPOSE
We are committed to being responsible corporate and community citizens and are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travellers like you to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. DEPOSIT BY CREDIT CARD
Please note that the credit card used to make the booking and pay any deposits must be presented at the time of check-in with proof of ID (both photographic and signature).

GUEST INCIDENTAL AUTHORISATIONS
There is a mandatory incidental deposit taken at check-in by either a credit card or via a cash deposit. Guests are recommended to activate signing privileges by allowing a deposit of US$250.00 to be authorised on their card or they can decline this service and deposit a fixed amount of US$250 in cash. All unused amounts of the deposit will be refunded on departure.

GOVERNMENT ROOM LEVY
There is a mandatory room rate levy required to be payable on departure which is US$9.63 per bedroom per night. For 2+ bedroom suites, this charge is based on the number of bedrooms in the suite.

EARLY CHECK-OUTS
If a guest wishes to check out from the hotel early, the refund will be based on the total stayed room nights plus 3 used nights. The balance of the reservation will be refunded to the guest if the reservation was made directly with the hotel. If this was done through a tour operator, then the refund will be done through the tour operator.

Please note - If you've made a non-refundable reservation, there will be no refund offered for early check-outs.

NO SMOKING AREAS
All areas of the hotel are non-smoking, this includes in all rooms and suites, balconies, corridors, public areas, restaurants and bars. Failure to comply will result in a US$250 charge to your guest account. 

There are designated smoking areas at the hotel. These areas do have signs.

What happens if I need to cancel?

If you cancel outside of the Penalty Period (detailed below), 100% of the deposit will be refunded less a US$25 processing fee. 
If the cancellation is received within the Penalty Period (detailed below), 100% of the deposit will be forfeited.

What are the sustainability practices at the hotel, and can we help?

By taking some steps our hotel guests can play a part in promoting sustainability and protecting the environment during their stay with us.

  • Reduce energy consumption: Turn off lights, turn off air conditioning when the sliding doors are open, and turn off other electronics when not in use.
  • Save water: Take shorter showers, reuse towels, and don't let the tap run while brushing teeth or shaving.
  • Reduce waste: Use reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones, avoid single-use plastics, and recycle whenever possible.
  • Support local businesses: Choose local restaurants and shops to support the local economy and reduce carbon emissions from transportation.
  • Eco-friendly options: Our hotel prioritizes sustainability and eco-friendliness, by using renewable energy sources, recycling and even the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products.
  • Rent electric cars: there are several companies in Barbados that offer electric cars for rent.  Additionally, there are charging stations located throughout the island to support the use of electric vehicles.
  • Leave no trace: Respect the environment and don't litter or damage the natural areas when exploring Barbados.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 4pm and Check-out is at 11am.

Early Check Ins are subject to availability and may incur an additional cost.  Luggage and large items may be stored with the bellman if you arrive prior to check-in.

For Late Check-Outs we have a changing room and showers available to ensure that you enjoy your last hours with us. However to stay in your room, late-checkouts can (only) be confirmed on the day of departure and it may be necessary to move to another room (based on arrivals).  Late check-out charges apply which are to be paid before you depart from the hotel.  Late Check-out times and fees (in US dollars): 

USD$ 40.00 per hour, up to 4 hours. 
For 5 hours the cost is USD$250.00
For 6 hours the cost is USD$350.00.

 

What payment types are accepted?

We accept VISA, MasterCard and Amex for payment on travel plans. Your choice of credit card will be charged according to the payment instructions detailed at the time of your reservation

What currency is used in Barbados?

The official currency of Barbados is Barbadian dollars and we can facilitate foreign currency exchange to Barbadian dollars at the Front Desk of the hotel.

Please remember to notify all of your issuing banks (ATM and Credit Card) the specific dates that you'll be travelling to Barbados prior to your departure in order to ensure easy access to your funds while away.

Do I need an electricity adapter?

The resort has a voltage capacity of 110V for U.S. and Canadian electric razors, hair dryers and other standard electrical equipment used in guest rooms. All European appliances require an adapter.

How does Tipping work in an All Inclusive?

We are happy to advise that at Sea Breeze Beach House a service charge is already included in your All-Inclusive room rate and the total amount goes directly to the hotel and back of house staff monthly. We truly believe that they are integral to your experience and it's only right that they receive this contribution. However, if you feel you have had extra special service, you may tip hotel staff directly.  Alternatively, you may choose to leave a team gratuity by handing an envelope to the Front Desk Manager labeled as such, and this will be shared with all hotel and back-of-house staff members.

Does Sea Breeze Beach House help with special dietary requirements/restrictions?

We strive to exceed the expectations for guests who have special dietary requirements.  Please ensure that you notify us when your reservation is made. We are also  happy to arrange a personal meeting with our chef , just ask on arrival. We trust that our personal attention to detail will shine through as we live our 'Your Way Your stay' anthem.

How many weddings are there per day at Sea Breeze Beach House?

We guarantee only one wedding per day across the entire Ocean Hotels Barbados Group ensuring the utmost attention to detail, and customisable wedding packages

Are the Jacuzzis heated?

Our Jacuzzis are heated by the sun and are usually a very warm temperature, on cloudy days you might find that the water temperature is a little 'refreshing'.

What are the COVID protocols at the hotel?

All COVID protocols have been removed from the hotel and the island.  However, the wearing of masks by guests and staff still remains optional.  However, to maintain good public hygiene we still recommend that guests wash their hands frequently and also use the hand sanitizing stations at the entry to the buffet areas on property.

Is Sea Breeze an all-inclusive resort?

Sea Breeze Beach House is an all-inclusive hotel and resort. The daily room rate includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and all house brand beverages. Non-motorized water sports are also included.

What is the legal drinking age in Barbados?

The legal drinking age in Barbados is 18 years. It is illegal in Barbados to sell or supply alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years

I am travelling with a large party. Can we sit together every night?

A maximum seating of 8 persons is allowed per table for dinner and must be pre-booked at least 24 hours in advance.

What is the dress attire at the resort?

Resort and sports attire is appropriate for men, women and children throughout the day. For evening dining (except for Cerulean), the dress code is elegantly casual. Appropriate attire includes - for men, tailored shorts, dress and jean pants, Polo shirts, short or long sleeve button down shirts with dress sandals or enclosed shoes. For women, dress and jean pants, dresses, blouses/tops and skirts with dress sandals or enclosed shoes. For dining at Cerulean, our fine dining restaurant, we request that gentlemen wear long trousers and a shirt with a collar.

What is the weather like in Barbados?

The climate in Barbados is tropical with temperatures ranging from 25 – 30 degrees Celsius / 77 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. In the islands there are two seasons: Wet and Dry.

The Wet Season is from June through November, and the dry season is from December through May. Brief heavy showers are common throughout the year. We call that Liquid Sunshine!

Is there an ATM on property?

Unfortunately we do not have an ATM located on property. However, the closest ATM is located in Oistins, which is a short 5 minute drive or a quick 15 minute walk from the hotel.

What are the age restrictions at Sea Breeze Beach House?

THERE ARE A FEW REGULATIONS CONCERNING AGE WHICH ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED.


MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS AT SEA BREEZE BEACH HOUSE:

  • To reserve a room ~ 18 years or older
  • To drink alcohol ~ 18 years or older
  • To use the adult pool and Jacuzzi – 18 years or older
  • To use the Lap pool, persons under 16 years of age must be supervised by an adult.

Does Sea Breeze have parking for hotel guests?

Yes, there is complimentary parking available for guests.

Can we drink tap water?

Tap water is safe to drink in Barbados as the island is limestone based and this acts as a natural filter.

What is the maximum room capacity?

The Classic Standard, Poolside Garden, Ocean View & Luxury Oceanfront Suite can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults & 2 children/3 adults. Larger accommodations are available such as two, three and four bedroom suites, which can accommodate up to 10 adults and 2 children.

Are cots available for infants?

Complimentary cots can be requested in advance of your stay through guestservices@sea-breeze.com. Please note that other than a cot, we are unable to place additional beds inside the rooms.

What are the amenties in the Classic Rooms?

All rooms have coffee and tea making facilities, an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, mini fridge, telephone, television and in-room safe for the storage of valuables.

What are the amenities in the Luxury Rooms?

All of the amenities included in the classic rooms plus: robes, Keurig coffee makers, complimentary beach bag to take home, pre-stocked mini bar.

Does your hotel offer room accommodations for the physically challenged?

All public areas are completely wheelchair accessible, and we strive to provide the best for all our Sea Breeze guests. While the hotel does not have any specific handicap rooms, the showers have a small 2” step to enter and we provide handicap shower chairs for guests on request. Please contact us directly to see how we can make your stay more comfortable.

Can I pre-arrange to have flowers or a bottle of champagne?

With our fabulous array of amenities, guests can receive gift baskets such as champagne, floral arrangements or specialty food items. For a full list of gifts please contact us at guestservices@sea-breeze.com.

Is there laundry at Sea Breeze?

We do not currently have laundry facilities on property. However, it would be our pleasure to arrange for an off-site laundromat to provide this service for you. More information can be collected at Front Desk regarding this service.

Does Sea Breeze Beach House offer babysitting services?

Yes, we do offer babysitting services at Sea Breeze. For more information on rates please contact guestservices@sea-breeze.com.

What is the dress attire at the restaurants?

Casual attire is appropriate throughout the day. Shoes and cover-ups are required in the lobby and in all indoor restaurants.

EVENING DINING DRESS CODE
The attire to be worn in the Cerulean fine dining Restaurant is elegant casual and gentlemen are requested to wear long trousers with a shirt with a collar. 

All other restaurants for evening dining would be resort casual attire.

SMART CASUAL CLOTHING FOR A WOMAN
Dress (Sleeveless maxi dresses are appropriate, dressy blouse, cotton or linen slacks, cotton or linen skirt, dress shorts, heels or dressy sandals.

SMART CASUAL CLOTHING FOR A MAN
Shirt with a collar, polo-style shirt, long dress pants or dress shorts with a belt, jeans or linen pants, closed-toe shoes, loafers or top-siders. Sports jackets are optional.

For evening dining in these locations, please no:
Baseball caps, bathrobes, bathing suits, beach cover-ups, camisoles, hoodies, carpenter pants, T-shirts, flip-flops, sweatsuits, short-shorts/Daisy Maes, cutoffs, torn shorts, tube tops, mandals, yoga pants.

Do any of your restaurants offer a children's menu?

All of our restaurants welcome children, including the fine dining restaurant, Cerulean, which also offers a children's menu.

How can I make dinner reservations?

As the schedule for dining is adjusted weekly we do not allow reservations in advance.  Please note that your first nights reservation will be made for you.   Dining table reservations can then be made 2 -3 days in advance and we recommend you make them each morning with our guest services team.  For dining queries please email guestservices@sea-breeze.com
