Perfect Family (13 and 20 year old children) Holiday
We have just returned to the UK from an eight night stay at the Seabreeze with our 2 children aged 13 and 20.
We had been to New York for a very busy, packed five nights so when we arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a rum punch, lovely friendly staff, a gentle sea-breeze (no pun intended) and a room and view to die for, we thought we'd flown four hours from NY to heaven on earth.
All the resort staff are so helpful and friendly and can't do enough for you especially Grace and Javon, really lovely.
Rooms are beautifully clean and (particularly in the Mahogany building I think) newly refurbished.
The beach isn't private to the hotel (none of the beaches on Barbados are) but it was lovely and quiet with plenty of sun-beds to choose from even though some guests insisted on reserving them each morning. Unfortunately, the sea was a little too choppy for many water sports when we were there but our two still enjoyed the waves and swimming out to the circular floats that you can lie on, anchored a short distance out. They also enjoyed the swimming pools which were clean and offered plenty of space for everyone.
We were all very impressed with the food on offer. A buffet style breakfast every morning with everything you can think of including an eggspert (!) cooking eggs to order any way you like. There is also a buffet lunch every lunchtime which was lovely or you could get pizza, sandwiches, kebabs etc from the 2 smaller bar type takeaways throughout the day. There are 3 restaurants to choose from in the evening, each with a slightly different atmosphere and menu so you don't get bored. There is also the rum shack which is great fun in the evening. I recommend the Pina Coladas made by Robert.
All excellent.
We walked up to Oistins Fish Fry one evening, about a 15 min walk. Do not be nervous about doing this. We felt very safe walking along the road and back at night and the experience is not to be missed. We recommend the tuna at Pat's Place.
We also did two excursions. The Catamaran cruise from Bridgetown to snorkel with turtles, swim over the reefs and have lunch on the boat in a bay with the clearest, most turquoise water ever. The crew were four young Bajan men who were great fun, expert crew and cooks and very kind to our daughter when she had a little wobble in the water.
Finally, we went on a guided tour around the island with a taxi driver named Peter and this I cannot recommend highly enough. Such a nice, kind man who was so knowledgable about and proud of Barbardos. I would recommend doing this early in your stay as there were several places we would have gone back to another day to explore further if we'd done it at the beginning of our week.
All excursions were booked through Guest Services who were great and couldn't have been more helpful especially Peggy. Prices are not included in your stay.
Over all a fantastic holiday at a well run, friendly hotel, great beach, great food, safe island and just enough to keep the whole family happy for a relaxing week.
Thankyou Seabreeze Team.
Upon arrival we were welcomed with a rum punch, room was cleaned and right on the beach, fantastic location.
Even though people were advised in the welcome letter to not reserve sunbeds this appeared to be ignored by guests.
Food fantastic with lovely beachside setting. A la carte restaurants recommended. Staff were all very welcoming. Special mention to Rhakeem in the rum bar, and Chrishone who were asking you constantly if you wanted a drink. Nothing was to much trouble. Great asset to your team.
Cleaners who attended to our room were great in taking away used towels but had to ring reception 3x on three occasions for replacements.
Tipsy bar on the beach served delicious kebabs on a daily basis.
The only thing id recommend at this hotel would be more evening entertainment. Apart from that I'd definitely come back again.
I was never interested in taking a Staycation in Barbados. I always felt my home was comfortable enough and i could go to the beach and dine at Barbados' finest restaurants and it would be the same thing. When my friend decided she wanted a Staycation in Barbados and we should join her because we did not want to take a cruise in this time of Covid i made some enquiries and heard Sea Breeze was an excellent place to go. So the three of us went and it surely lived up to the recommendations! We had a wonderful Staycation! .The room was superb. The food was excellent and the staff went beyond their duties to ensure we felt welcomed and appreciated. Special mention to Jenefia who was willing to accommodate us so cheerfully when we asked her to sing "Happy Birthday " three times in order that we could get the video recording done right....to the Omelette Chef for serving such mouth watering omelettes every morning. We wondered how she could stay on her feet for such a long time and still have a smile on her face. Mention is also made to the staff of the Mahogany Dining room for their excellent service. We will be back and we have told our many friends and families about our wonderful time with you. They are anxious to experence what we did. Kerp up the good work!
We came for the quarantine and stayed for the wedding
We loved our quarantine hotel so much, that we returned 4 weeks later for our wedding.
We dreaded the thought of being in quarantine. Who wants to be confined to a room, but Sea Breeze looked after us very well from start to finish.
Being in an all inclusive hotel during quarantine took the stress of trying to order food externally out of the equation. The choices on the menu were not limited and when I requested alternative mix and match to the lunch menu choices they didn’t disappoint.
We didn’t want for anything as the friendly staff made sure that we were okay.
Having our second PCR test at the hotel, was convenient for us and was arranged by the hotel at our request on arrival.
The room was very comfortable and working remotely ran smoothly.
What can we say about our wedding day, which was what we wanted under the current climate.
Debbie, the wedding coordinator and her team looked after our every request. Keeping us informed at all times.
You can tell from the photo that the setting was perfect, flowers were beautiful and the cake was yummy. It was just perfect for us!
What ever the event from wedding to a non reason ‘let’s party’ event the hotel and event team will not disappoint.
Sea Breeze staff are fantastic, what ever the reason for your visit to Barbados or if you reside here, consider Sea breeze.
